Hog and Poultry industry on the environment
What are Hog industry and Poultry industry? They are big industries in the whole world, big industries that can bring a lot of money for the farmers and for the country where the farmer lives. Those industries are really big because a lot of people in the world eat meat, and the meat for them is coming from those industries. But off course those industries are really hard. The hogs and the poultry have to eat every single day more that four times a day so that they can’t loose weight. The farmers are using a lot of food to feed them sometimes farmers even don’t have enough money to do it because they eat a lot. But the hogs and the poultry are not used just for their meat they are used for other goods. For example the poultry can give you eggs that you can sell. And that is the main thing that the people want to know, how many eggs can give the poultry. Some people are buying the poultries first to use their meat but after they see that the poultries gives them more than they want they leave them for like an year and use them. They are three different kinds of poultries: Poultry for eggs, Poultry for meat (broilers), and Poultry for both – eggs and meat which people called home poultry. A good poultry for eggs can give to her owner at least four eggs on day, if the poultry don’t give three eggs usually the poultry can be killed.
Poultry for meat are different from the other poultries. They usually give one or two eggs to their owners. Those kinds of poultries are used for their meat. The poultry for meat were not born like the other poultries they were born in incubator. They were feed with food that can make them big and fat for short time, so that the farmers can sell them faster and so that they can get more money for them. Those kinds of chickens can give a lot of money to their owners and of course to those people who bought the chicken because they can buy the poultry on like 3$ for a lbs. and to sell their meat for 4.50$ for a lbs., but they have to give the meat for check before selling it because the meat can have disease that can cost somebody’s live. Of course that will cost them money so they are going to sell the meat at higher price.
Poultry for eggs and meat are normal. That means that they are not small like poultries for eggs or big like the poultries for meat, they are in the middle. They usually give about three eggs to their owners, but they are not doing that every day. The home poultry have delicious meat, but the bad thing to them is that they can catch disease really easy because they don’t eat food that can make them grow fast or food that can make them give more eggs they eat just food, that every poultry should eat. The home poultry can be used by everybody, but usually the farmers who have a lot of acres of land use them to change their food once a month or a week.
Those three kind of poultries can bring a lot of money to their owners and to the other people who use them if the people know how to use poultries, if they don’t know how to use them they are going to have bankrupt. On some places there are more chickens than people because they know how to use them, how to sell them, and how to take care for them.
A lot of people in big farms are with the poultry industry, but there are some other people who are with the hog industry which is also a big industry. The pigs or also called swine can be used just like the poultries, but the difference between them is that the hogs can be used just for meat from the hog industry.
The pigs can be used for some experiments in laboratories by the testers because the pigs were defined as very intelligent animal. They were defined as one of the most intelligent animals on the world. As you look at the pig you can ask somebody: “How can this animal be one of the most intelligent animals in the world?” You can ask that because the pigs don’t look really pretty. Those characteristics make the pig look ugly.
The hogs in the farms are used for their meat. The people there feed them with food that can make them grow fast and that can make them fat. The hogs can bring a lot of money to their owners because a lot of people in the world are looking for hog meat every day. When somebody wants to buy a pig to use his meat, he usually is looking for big and fat, really fat pig. The person wants big and fat swine because it has a lot of meat in it and the person can use the whole meat to make different thing from his meat. He can make sausages, he can sell the meat or he can make something else. And that’s why the person is looking for big and fat pig, so that he can make lot things from it.
The person can loose some money from that, but know that he will earn some after that. Like the poultries the hogs also have to be checked for disease and to see if their meat is good. After that the person will loose some money again, but after everything is ready and the meat is ready for selling he will put high price so that he can earn the lost money and earn some more for himself. That can bring a lot of money for him because everybody will be buying the meat, but some people might say that the meat is too expensive and they are going to look for some other place that they can buy the same meat but cheaper. If they find cheaper place they are going to buy it and the previous person who had higher price will make his price cheaper so that the people can go to him and buy his meat. That is called rivalry.
The hog and the poultry industries can bring a lot of money to a lot of people in the world and to a lot of countries in the world if they know how to use the goods that those industries can give them. They also can loose a lot if they don’t take too much care for the pigs and the poultry. That can cause a disease and a lot of animals will die from that and a lot of people will loose a lot. This is just like last year in European countries Romania, Turkey, Greece and Macedonia who had to kill almost 97% of their poultry because of the poultry disease. Some countries continued to use poultries even though they were told that their chickens have disease. Those countries were Bulgaria, Czechoslovakia, and Moldova. That’s why those farmers have to be careful what are they doing with the animals.
